Our After School Programs

We offer two different afterschool programs, both of which are available to all students 5th - 8th grades. Both programs take place in rooms 703 and 704 at Gorzycki Middle School from 4 - 5:30pm.

Our Gamers' Club is for kids who love to game, and who are looking for a fun, interactive experience where they can play games, make friends, and be themselves. We do a mix of on-screen and off-screen activities to build a strong sense of culture, teamwork and collaboration. With our structured game-play, we ensure the kids are working together in a fun way. With our off-screen activities, we ensure the kids are able to creative, silly, and working together. Gamer Club takes place on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 - 5:30pm. Seasons last for 8 weeks. It is offered throughout the regular school year.

Our VG Designers Club is for kids who love storytelling. This is where creative writing meets video game creation. In small groups, students will create an original story narrative with characters, settings, conflicts, and plot. They'll take these ideas and turn them into their own video games using RPG Maker software. Their finished product games will be available for them to play at home, on their phone, and to share with friends and family. This program is a mix of on and off-screen activies including game design, story writing, brainstorming games, and some video game playing. VG Designers Club takes place on Tuesdays from 4 - 5:30pm. Seasons last for 10 weeks. It is offered throughout the regular school year.
