Our Esports Competive program is for students who are wanting and ready to represent Gorzycki Middle School in statewide competive play. This program is available to all Gorzycki Middle School 7th & 8th graders. Just like a regular sport, tryouts, practices, and games are required, all of which take place on Gorzycki's campus. Students who participate in this program are required to maintain campus behaviorial expectations and a passing GPA.

This is a fantastic opportunity for young gamers to showcase their skills and compete. To become a part of this dynamic team, interested students must submit an application and participate in tryouts.

Students will compete in teams using the online gaming platform PlayVS. Games will be competed amongst teams from acoss the country online. The gaming season lasts for about a semester and includes a regular season, playoffs and finals. Qualifying teams that reach the semifinals and finals may be required to travel to in-person playing at an official gaming arena.

Seasons typically last for 2-3 months. Gorzycki will announce what games are available to compete in, as well as the season's schedule, when that information becomes available through PlayVS. We expect to have a few teams compete both semesters. We hope to begin the registration process in September. If you have any questions about our teams, please contact us.
